Subject: opposition to the codex
Dear Delegate,
I am a citizen of the United States and I believe in our Constitution and the laws we enact through our duly elected lawmakers. I am also a regular consumer of vitamin and mineral supplements as a result of having a health condition that conventional medicine didn’t help but supplements did. We can not allow foreign multi national corporations and governments to hold sway over our domestic policy. In addition, if we follow the lead of the European Union in lowering the dosages of the various nutrients in vitamin and mineral supplements as well as others, we won’t be preventing disease but having to deal with the consequences of poisoning ourselves as a result of the chemicals large corporations spew into our environment each year with impurity.
I own and operate a health food store and have a vested interest in what happens in this next round being held in Rome. We must stand firm on the position that vitamins, minerals, herbs and other nutritional supplements must continue to be available in high enough doses to be of benefit to individuals who choose natural methods as a preventative to disease as opposed to those who would have us take their drugs, deal with pesticides that poison our bodies, and be forced to accept authority over us without our consent. I think not. Each Saturday I host a nationally syndicated health talk radio show and intend on discussing this important issue each and every week. This is not an acceptable set of circumstances and we must oppose it with all vigor. Thank you for your attention.
Regards,
Deborah Watson
